Introduction to CV Pro
CV Pro is an AI-powered career toolkit that helps you build, optimize, and target your CV for specific job postings. This guide walks you through the core concepts and gets you to your first download in under five minutes.
Creating your account
Go to cvpro.com/signup and sign up with your email. No credit card is required for the Free plan. After signing up you'll be taken directly to your dashboard.
Your dashboard
The dashboard is your home base. From here you can:
- See your profile strength score and what's dragging it down
- Access all CVs you've created or optimized
- Track jobs you've applied to
- View personalized recommendations to improve your profile
Three ways to start
CV Pro gives you three starting points depending on what you already have:
1. Upload your existing CV
Go to CV → Upload & optimize. Upload a PDF or DOCX file. CV Pro will parse your CV, score it for ATS compliance, and return an optimized version with a before/after comparison.
Supported formats: .pdf, .docx. Maximum file size: 10 MB.
2. Import from LinkedIn
Go to CV → Create from LinkedIn. Paste your public LinkedIn profile URL. CV Pro imports your work experience, education, skills, certifications, and projects — then builds a professionally formatted CV automatically.
3. Start from scratch
Go to CV → Create new. Fill in the guided form and CV Pro will assemble and format your CV. Recommended if you don't have an existing document.
Targeting a job
Once you have a base CV, go to CV → Target a job. Paste a job posting URL from any job board. CV Pro will:
- Analyze the job requirements
- Score your profile against them (the fit score)
- Show you exactly where you match and where you fall short
- Ask whether you want to proceed before generating anything
- Rewrite your CV to match the role if you confirm

Downloading your CV
From any CV detail page, click Download. PDF is available on all plans. DOCX requires Starter plan or above.
